Best Friends

 

Whether it be toil, recreation, dining (fine or otherwise), cycling, or enjoying a drink mixed; I enjoy experiencing the aforementioned with my best friend only. May the Lord bless these events with my spouse for many days to come.I love you, Laura.

Out with the old, in with the new…

so they say.

Our move is complete. We are entirely moved out of the old house. No longer are our evenings spent enjoying a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon to a back drop of speeding cars and flying moths. It’s almost sad though, because I can’t pretend that the cars are the ocean and the moths fireflies. Instead I drive home to a quiet neighborhood and new house complete with a garage door opener.

Yes, all of our earthly possessions no longer reside at 418 East Pine Avenue. Even the day lilies have been successfully transplanted along with two juvenile trees we saved from sure death due to starvation from overcrowding. And in the same pot as the red maple, our spearmint is thriving, soon to help make the walk to our front door one filled full of pleasant aroma.

So good bye moths, speeding cars and my fanciful daydreams. We’re getting white wicker to compliment our front door….I wonder how reality will suit me….
